Tabitha got off pretty easy for someone who meddled with powers she didn’t really understand… though who’s to say what the long-term effects of the sanity-shredding rites she tried to pull off may be on her mind. I do find it funny that she had a magic focus and sigila and blood rites, and none of that stopped the shadow man… but a perfectly mundane gun applied to the right target sure did. In fact, GUN has been the solution to every mythos creature so far. Who needs magic when you’ve got bullets?

Kat’s super power is gun for sure. When I made her character, I thought it would be something like her charm or investigative skills but she fails a lot of those rolls, so we go back to gun haha. I really like the slow burn horror of mythos fiction usually, but so far finding the thing that can be shot and shooting it is as good a plan as any!

I don’t think I wrote it down in my notes, but mechanically Tabitha’s sanity was at 4, so she was pretty close to the edge! I was half sad half glad that didn’t come up, everyone already had a lot to deal with haha.

Wow. Great story! I was surprised at how Kat dealt with Roth. Damned cold - but the mission demands it.

Thank you! I feel like it was a character defining moment for her. I was expecting her to fail the Sanity check and take a sanity hit, but when she passed I was like, damn, I guess this why she was picked out for this work haha

Great story! Somehow, I kept thinking about the X-files while reading it. I’ve been thinking about how to run a solo mystery for a while. Your story made it seem so doable. Maybe I should look into the Rogue Handler supplement sometime.

Thank you! The X-Files I think was one of the big inspirations for some of the 90s setting for Delta Green! I transitioned to Mythic after this to have a bit more randomness/structure, but I think Rogue Handler is a great tool, especially for mission generation!

I've read the first few chapters of the next story. Can't wait to see what happens in Summercrest :)
