I think the best part of using mythic is the unforeseen paths it takes you down - challenging your expectations and making you develop the story in a way you would never have normally dreamed of.
Something that really sold this session for me was how shaken up the sheriff was. Our heroes may be (somewhat) accustomed to awful, awful things, but the death of a child absolutely would shake up a small town sheriff, and the contrast between him barely keeping it together and the team's brusque inquiries really sold how differently the agents see the world. You get more than a little warped when working for Delta Green.
Thank you! I wasn’t expecting the turn this chapter took when I was playing. I thought the kid was kidnapped maybe, and that finding him would be a moral dilemma for the team because it wasn’t as relevant to their main case.
This has been such a fun read! Really enjoy how you write.
I do have a question though, how have you been keeping time for the game, Solum? As in, are you sort of handwaving it and deciding or are you using a mechanic/dice roll for that?
Thanks! For the most part, I look at the scene and decide how much time that seemed to have taken, adding time for failed checks and asking Mythic for distances to and from places. I like fast paced investigations, but I should look into something more mechanical for keeping time as it is a big factor in an investigation

It really is my favorite GM emulator. The random events and interrupt scenes add so much to the experience!

Excellent write up. I need to see the autopsy on that dog. I'm getting really invested here!
Thank you! I'm glad your enjoying it, I wasn't expecting to have to deal with the dogs so soon haha
