Thanks for reading! This operation gets a little strange, but I had a lot of fun writing it! For Mythic, 18 will usually be a yes, unless the chaos factor and/or the odds are really low. a 98 would be an extreme no in most circumstances also.
My bad, that actually makes more sense as I don't think I rolled an 18 haha. So because the Chaos factor is so high here (CF = 8), the only thing that triggers an extreme no would be a 99 or 100. If you go up to chaos factor 9, a 50/50 means that only 100 is an extreme no, If I recall. This chapter has the highest I think I've had my Chaos Factor get up to, I normally reign it in by now haha
Thanks! I got a little weird with it, but I really liked how it turned out. It's a little more fantastical than some Delta Green things, but I enjoy the combination of weird stuff and mundane stuff!
Your ability to craft such a compelling story through the push and pull of dice rolls and oracles is incredible.
I’m loving the Lovecraftian lore ( leng and Tcho-tcho)- not that I know it all well myself- but have read those names here and there over the years so they hold a sort of reverence for me.
Thank you, it’s really cool to let the prompts and dice take a big part of the story telling so it feels like it’s happening to me just as much as it is to Kat haha. Although I suppose she was the worse side of that coin. There is so much Lovecraftian Lore to dig into for these kinds of games, and Delta Green and Call of Cthulu have added their own spin as well which is really awesome.
Loved this one! It's amazing how great Mythic is for driving scenes and generating story. I look forward to using it in the future.
Speaking of Mythic, isn't roll 18 (98) supposed to be an extreme no? Am I getting it wrong?
For an improvised name, Non-Euclidean Serpent is pretty cool!

I meant footnote 18, that was a roll of 98. Guess I wrote it in a confusing way hahaha.
So a 98 is an extreme no?
By the way, your use of footnotes to put rolls and notes is really clever. It makes the text so clean.

Ohh, got it! I forgot about the chaos factor. 8 is insane hahah. Thanks for explaining it.
Life keeps getting more and more interesting for Kat. I think this is the most intriguing operation to date.

I think she'd better pack the BBQ sauce.
