I really appreciate the breakdown of how you use Mythic at the top. I have dabbled with it a bit and think its great. I like the tweaks you made for Delta Green in terms of keeping things more mission related.
The whole post script breakdown is awesome. Its great to read about how other solo players interpret rolls and things like interrupted scenes because it helps me think about my own approach. The overall Kerebos mission was fantastic (I just need to read Haruspex to get all caught up).
The format you are using works really well.
Looking forward for to Operation Winter Strain (Holy cool mission names Batman!).
Thanks so much for reading and your feedback! Talking about playing is almost as much fun as playing the game haha. Mythic is a great tool, but I for sure found it very intimidating when I just started out, and a few of my first Mythic games with other systems ended pretty abruptly when I got overwhelmed. I'm still experimenting with some of the variations with Mythic, but I'm pretty happy with the core loop!
Really enjoyed the operation. Played Delta Green once in a group but not enough to really get to grips with it. This operation has made me want to give it another go. I will also have to check out Kat’s earlier adventures.
Thanks for reading! I love this system so much, and I feel like it works pretty well with Mythic. If you ever run it and have any questions, feel free to drop me a message and I will try not to talk your ear off haha.
I’ve used Mythic from the beginning of my solo play, but have a really hard time staying “on target” with the threads. I thought I’d be better with it when I changed to the “Vows” in Starforged/Sundered Isles, but no, I’m just as bad at fulfilling big vows. I’m actually reading your post script before any of the actual plays, so I’ll be interested in seeing how you stay on mission. I like the post script to see “behind the curtain”.
I feel your pain. I loved playing Ironsworn, but I realised a month into a campaign that I hadn’t advanced the background Vow at all and had gotten totally side tracked. For these ones, I try to keep it mission focused, with all the threads tying directly to the main thread. I think it works haha, but some of the missions go on for a lot longer than others.

I may have to take you up on that 😊
Bought the humble bundle so plenty of reading to get through in readiness to give it a go.
Super cool. I have Mythic but haven't used it yet to play. I'll be adding it into my solo play. I really enjoy these articles and write ups.
Thanks! I want to write more about Mythic and Solo play in general, but I take a bit of a Frankenstein approach haha. Thanks for checking it out!
The Frankenstein approach is solid. Use what you like. That’s the whole point of gaming really. Having fun!
